It’s a sight of 18th century temples; visit Antpur in Hooghly district, built by Zamindar Krishnaram Mitra, the temples take in ones devoted to Baneshwar, Jaleshwar, Fuleshwar and Gangadhar. The most important attention is the Radha Govind temple.

Murshidabad:
It is the prosperous business town throughout the British rule, Murshidabad is a must-visit for the history beige,located on the banks of the Bhagirathi. Murshidabad is home to the Hazarduari – or Palace of a 1000 doors which has been rehabilitated into a museum that houses memorabilia related with Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah. How to go there: Take the train from Calcutta to Berhampore, and then hop on to a bus for Murshidabad.
Bandel:
It’s a small factory town in Hooghly and it was once a Portuguese settlement. Here is a Portuguese Church, which is the oldest church in West Bengal, established in 1599. This church was shattered in 1640, and reconstructed after twenty years.
