Kolkata won the toss and elected to bat first. The captain of Kolkata, Saurav Ganguly opened with Cris Gayle. Gayle faced the strike and makes 19 runs on the board in the very fast over of the speed master Brett Lee. This was the starting.
Then the Prince of Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly came back in form and showed why he is so much respected. He connected every shot properly. He scored fifty runs. When Sourav Ganguly got out, Manoj Tiwari kept the match in his hand.
